Barcelona Handed Timely Boost by La Liga Following Champions League Elimination

Barcelona’s elimination from the UEFA Champions League has left a bitter feeling among the club’s supporters, who continue to dream of lifting the trophy for the first time in over a decade.
The Catalan side were knocked out at the quarter-final stage this season by Atlético Madrid, losing 3–2 on aggregate across the two legs.
That defeat has once again highlighted the squad’s need for significant reinforcements ahead of next season if Barcelona are to compete seriously for European glory.
However, in order to complete high-profile signings, the club must first return to La Liga’s financial 1:1 rule, which would allow them to operate normally in the transfer market after a prolonged period of restrictions.
In a major boost for the club, La Liga president Javier Tebas revealed that Barcelona are close to meeting those requirements—raising hopes of a more active and ambitious summer window.
Speaking in comments reported by Gigantes, Tebas said: “We still have a long way to go until the summer, but they have made very significant progress and are managing their finances well.”
He added: “They are on the right track, and we will see whether they reach the target before June 30. They are in a much better position.”
