Concern at Camp Nou as Barcelona Star Suffers Injury Hours Before Atlético Madrid Clash

Barcelona were hit by a moment of concern on Wednesday morning after one player was initially absent from the team bus heading to the squad’s hotel ahead of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final clash with Atlético Madrid.
According to Sport, midfielder Fermín López sustained a head injury during the morning warm-up session overseen by head coach Hansi Flick. The player required medical attention, which caused him to miss the team bus departure, although he arrived at the hotel shortly afterward.
In a reassuring update, Mundo Deportivo reported that the injury does not appear to be serious and is unlikely to rule him out of the match, should Flick decide to include him in the starting lineup.
Meanwhile, Sport added that Flick is currently weighing his options in midfield, with Fermín López and Dani Olmo competing for a place alongside Pedri and Eric García. The decision comes amid the absence of Marc Bernal, who is sidelined through injury.
