The name Roony Bardghji is starting to ring loud and clear in the FC Barcelona dressing room. The young Swedish winger, signed as a bet for the future by the sporting management, is surprising both friends and strangers in his first pre-season training sessions under the orders of Hansi Flick.

His impact has been immediate, to the point that there are already voices within the coaching staff who see him in a position to fight for a starting place this very season.

Despite his youth and the fact that he arrived with a low profile compared to other more media-driven signings, Rooney has shown an overwhelming personality in each session , without complexes or stage fright.

His ability to excel one-on-one, his technical quality and, above all, his bar are powerfully attracting attention.

Flick has taken note of what he is seeing. In a team that needs alternatives in attack and that has suffered from a lack of depth in some games last season, Rooney presents himself as a very serious option . He can play on either side, although he feels more comfortable starting from the right to face inside with his left.

His vertical, direct and aggressive football has already generated more than one comment in the dressing room.

The direct consequence of his emergence is that several players who seemed to have a guaranteed place in the rotations now see a real threat.

Although Lamine Yamal is indisputable in terms of level and hierarchy, other footballers see how the competition is getting tougher.

From the sports management, with Deco at the helm, they do not hide their satisfaction with what Bardghji is showing in these first days. He was signed as a jewel to be polished, but his integration has been much faster than expected.

In addition, off the field, his attitude is exemplary : hardworking, humble and eager to learn, he has fit well into the group, where he already has the support of some heavyweights.

Today, no one dares to say what role Rooney will have during the season, but what is clear is that he will really compete . If he maintains this level, Flick could turn him into one of the big surprises of the season . Because when a talent like his appears with this determination, it is best not to scare him. And at Barça they have already understood it.
