Tottenham make strong move to sign extraordinary Barca player

English club Tottenham Hotspur is seeking to strengthen its squad before the start of the new season, aiming to return to domestic competition after finishing low in the English Premier League last season.

The London club, which has appointed Thomas Frank, the former Barcelona player dubbed “The Special One,” as its new first-team coach, has placed him at the top of its summer signings list.

Barcelona is also seeking to offload some of its players, who Hansi Flick doesn’t rely on, in order to free up space on the payroll to make new signings.

Barcelona has already signed three new signings this summer: Spanish goalkeeper Juan Garcia, young Danish player Ronnie Bardji, and English striker Marcus Rashford. The club is also looking to sell or loan some of its players to allow them to register.

According to the popular Spanish website, Fichajes, Tottenham is very serious about signing Uruguayan international defender Ronald Araujo from Barcelona. The team is seeking to improve its defensive line and has already taken initial steps in this regard.

Barcelona ready to sell Araujo

Barcelona appears willing to sell the player if a convincing offer is made, and Tottenham are aware that the deal will not be easy, as they will need to offer a significant sum to complete the deal. It remains to be seen how things develop.

Araujo is an outstanding defender who has proven himself in La Liga. He possesses the physical and technical qualities necessary to excel in the Premier League. He could be an important player for Tottenham if he joins them this summer.

He’s a central defender, but he’s also flexible enough to play as a full-back. In addition to his defensive skills, he’s exceptional on the ball, and his distribution skills could add a new dimension to Tottenham’s squad. Carles Puyol has previously described him as “exceptional.”
