Neither Fermín nor Casado… Barcelona is preparing for a major sale before the end of the transfer window

Amid rumours of their possible departure from Barcelona, the names of Fermin Lopez and Marc Casado have been floated as potential options for release this summer.
However, the reality inside the club is very different from what some headlines suggest. Neither Fermín nor Casado intend to leave, and Hansi Flick does not want to let them go either.
Barcelona highly values the attitude, performance, and commitment of its young players. In the case of Fermin, the German coach considers him a versatile player, distinguished by his goals, energy, and defensive sacrifice.
As for Casado, despite his difficulty getting playing time in a squad crowded with capable players, he has the support of the dressing room and represents the essence of Barcelona like no other. In fact, several prominent players on the team, such as Lamine Yamal, have expressed their desire for the midfielder to stay.
But there’s one name that’s attracting significant interest as a potential big-money summer sale: Ronald Araujo, whose situation has changed compared to previous seasons. Although he’s always been considered a defensive bulwark, doubts about his suitability for Flick’s style and the increasing competition could open the door to his departure if a convincing offer is received.
The Uruguayan defender has a market in Europe and has been sought after by teams such as Bayern Munich, Manchester United and Chelsea on various occasions.
His market value remains high, and with Barcelona needing revenue to balance their La Liga campaign, Araujo could become the key player to unlock several new signings.
Furthermore, unlike Fermin or Casado, Barcelona would be willing to negotiate his departure if it reached a price close to €40 million. For his part, Flick would not directly oppose his transfer, especially if it allowed him to strengthen other positions on the pitch or conclude priority deals.
