Hansi Flick Shares an “Unbelievable” Story About Camp Nou After Barcelona’s Victory Over Athletic Bilbao

Barcelona secured a dominant 4–0 win against visitors Athletic Bilbao in Matchday 13 of La Liga.
The match marked a special occasion — the long-awaited return to playing at Spotify Camp Nou — an event that shaped the atmosphere both inside the stadium and throughout the post-match press conference.
When asked how it felt to lead Barcelona for the first time at their historic home ground, Hansi Flick said in the press room:
“For me, it felt similar to what we experienced during training about 10 or 14 days ago… it was an incredible feeling when we walked up the stairs and stepped onto the pitch and saw the fans. The same thing happened today.”
The German coach then shared a personal story about Camp Nou:
“Once, I was here right after being sacked from a third-division club, and I told myself: one day, I want to sit on the bench here at Barcelona. And now it feels like a dream has come true.”
He added:
“It’s an unbelievable story for me, but it shows that when you work hard and believe in what you can achieve, anything becomes possible. And that’s what I told the team as well: for me, everything is possible.”
He concluded:
“We just need to work hard, focus on our strengths, believe in our quality, and play as one team — everyone for everyone. That’s what matters to me. We have amazing fans, and a great club here, and now we’re back home. It’s an incredible feeling.”
