Barcelona Considering Re-Signing Their Former Winger Just One Year After Selling Him

Mundo Deportivo has highlighted one of the players Barcelona sold last summer, noting that his strong performances with both his new club and national team could lead the Catalan side to seriously consider bringing him back.

According to the report, Yan Virgil continues to deliver outstanding displays since Barcelona sold him to Real Mallorca for €4 million, proving that he deserves a return and another opportunity.

The 19-year-old winger scored two superb goals in his debut for Spain’s U21 national team against San Marino on Friday, extending his impressive form with Mallorca, where he has been a regular starter since the beginning of the season.

Yan Virgil plays as a left winger, is 19 years old, and was sold by Barcelona this summer for €4 million, while the club retained 50% of any future transfer fee and a buy-back option.

Barcelona has been actively seeking reinforcements for the left-wing position, and the chance to bring back a young talent who is beginning to gain confidence and consistent minutes is expected to be very tempting — if he continues to shine.
