Paris Saint-Germain makes a huge offer to sign Fermín López… and Barcelona responds

Spanish press reports indicate that French club Paris Saint-Germain has returned and submitted a huge offer to sign Barcelona player Fermin Lopez.
Luis Enrique sees Fermin Lopez as the missing piece in his squad, with the Spanish coach impressed by the youngster’s attacking prowess, technical ability, and outstanding goal-scoring ability.
For this reason, Luis Enrique asked Paris Saint-Germain to make an offer to sign Fermin Lopez during the current summer transfer window, and the French club subsequently contacted the player’s agents and then Barcelona.
Fermin Lopez was a substitute for almost all of last season, and he always made the difference when Hansi Flick brought him on in tough matches. He showed impressive performances during the pre-season and is expected to receive more playing time next season.
Fermin Lopez wants as much playing time as possible, and while that isn’t guaranteed at Barcelona, he has no intention of leaving and would prefer to stay, hoping to gain a full start under Hansi Flick.
According to El Nacional, Paris Saint-Germain made a hefty €50 million bid for Fermín López, but Barcelona’s response was definitive: Fermín is not for sale, and anyone who wants to sign him must pay his €500 million release clause.
Barcelona sees Fermin Lopez as an investment in the club’s present and future, and despite the Catalan club’s financial difficulties and need to reduce its wage bill, they will not sacrifice their young player.
